About the Owner, Rhonda Davidson
Rhonda (Mimi) Davidson is the proud founder of Mimi’s Learning Center in Round Rock, Texas. She has been working with children for over twenty years and has been registered with the state for over eleven years. Raised in a Christian home and having a pastor for a father, Rhonda grew with a passion for children to have a good, Christian-based foundation in their education.
She started working with children fresh out of high school. From past experiences, she discovered that a great number of child care givers didn’t have a true love for children. When she had two daughters of her own, Rhonda decided to home school them for six years. As a way to supplement her income, she started caring for children from her home as well. In 2000, she opened her first registered child care home when her daughters started attending public schools. She maintained that home care for eleven years and feels truly blessed to have been a part in influencing the lives of those children.
Rhonda thought about opening her own center for many years, but it wasn’t until 2013 that the opportunity presented itself. Now, she’s fulfilling her desire to have a staff with a sincere passion for children with a patient, loving and kind attitude; to have a place where the children feel loved and accepted knowing that God made them special. Ultimately, she’s excited to create an atmosphere that will make a positive difference in the lives of the children in her care.
